Can I just share my biggest peeve about blogger? "tab" does not tab inside the little (not really little) typing box! It tabs onto the next [clickable]/[type-able space] place. Drives me bananas. Literally. And I hate bananas.
book #2: Fablehaven by Brandon Mull
It begins with two kids, Seth and Kendra, being shipped to their elusive grandparents house which is in a place called Fablehaven of which the grandpa is the caretaker of, while their parents go on a cruise that was left to them by the kids' other grandparents. From the beginning, there were only a few rules set in place. Mainly, don't go into the forest and... I feel like there was another one that I just don't remember. But the forest rule is apparently the only important one. Anyways! Don't go into the forest. Which you would think is a pretty simple rule, as there is a swimming pool and a fabulous garden to relax in, no big right? Wrong. Seth, is an adventurous young lad and he just absolutely has to go into the forest, then he meets Myrtle, a witch who lives in a shack. Meanwhile, Kendra uses keys given to her by her grandpa to eventually discover a secret journal that says nothing but Drink the Milk. What milk? You may ask. The milk that is set around the yard and such in pie tins. Kendra of course drinks the milk even though it makes her a little nervous and BAM! The butterflies and other various flying insects are really fairies! AH! Crazy sauce. And other things, like goats? are really satyrs. All the animals appear to be different and more... non-magical looking, unless you drink the milk. It turns out to be milk from a magical cow, named Viola. But anyways, once the kids both find out about the magical-ness of Fablehaven, things get a little crazy. Magical adventures ensue. I won't give anything else away. :)
How's that for a summary? It's not an actual summary, as I left out a whole bunch, because I want you to read the book! There are SOOOO many more surprises that will just drive you crazy. And onto my opinion! I really was a little unhappy with this particular book. I liked the concept, but personally, I could tell it was written for younger readers. I only read the second book because I wanted to see what happened next. So, it was obviously good enough for me to want to know more. I have a friend who also read this book but didn't read the rest of the series, and she said her reason was that she likes reading books that are in her age range, if that makes sense, so she didn't want to go back and read the rest even though I told her the rest was even better. Which I completely understand. I feel the same way about the whole age range thing, but I figured that it might get better and less noticeable, and like I said, I was invested in the story. No reported romance in this book, so if you can't handle fantasy that isn't of the romantic sort, you're out of luck in the first of the Fablehaven books.
I definitely recommend this book. I think that if you are in the mood for a great series that will take you somewhere else and on a definite adventure this is the book for you!
Thoughts and emotions get a little jumbled when they stay in my brain. This is where I put them for the oxidation process.

Stuck in a fantasy land? This is where your dreams become a reality!
Preface: I have a sister, who likes to recommend some books to me. And then I read them. The first six of the bookiness posts shall be about the books that she told me to read.
I wrote the whole post in lower case, don't judge me. I just felt like it. It was actually a slight struggle for me to keep up but once I decide to do something like that, it's gotta happen. Even if it goes against all the OCD fibers of my being.
book #1: Austenland by Shannon Hale
it's about a girl, jane hayes is her name, who is in her... late twenties? i feel like that's how old she is. and she has a not so awesome sort of love life, which her mother tries to make more awesome, but just fails and makes things worse. this jane hayes loves loves loves! mr. darcy from Pride and Predjudice and it's a secret fantasy type love and she watches the movies over and over and all that jazz. anyways, her mom forces her to go to lunch with a super old lady relative because she was "close to death" and she wants to inherit some money from her. greedy much? ;) so the mom goes to freshen up or something of the sort and the not so old lady and jane have a little chat. they talk about mr. darcy or something to hint that she is obsessed and that's that! later on the old lady relative dies and jane's inheritance is a ticket? or something of those sorts to a place called Austenland. it's a place where you go (in england) and live like someone in Jane Austen's books. there are actors and the sort there and there is no technology and stuff. even the attire is jane austen. then romantical type things happen and that's as far as i'll go with that particular sub-subject. :D
wells, there is a short little summary in the words of me. my opinion of the book? i really loved it. a whole bunch. i read it on a sunday afternoon and therefore, it's a relatively short book. it moves pretty quickly and keeps your brains engaged in the story. it's very easy to get to that point where you feel like you're in the story, rather than reading the story. like the pensieve in harry potter? just like that.
i highly reccomend this book. and i hope that you read it and tell me (in the comment-type fashion, yeah?) how much you either liked or loved or possibly even hated? the book. :)

A day of swimming and dancing!
So today I went SWIMMING!!! With Dana! My favorite sister-in-law! (And only sister-in-law) It was a fabulous time and we talked about the greatest things! And, on the insanely plus side, I didn't get another sunburn! Which seems to be happening to me alot lately, so I was pretty proud. The only downside to swimming, is that no matter the length of actual swimming-ness, I'm always always ready for a nap after. :) good thing swimming is mostly a summer type activity! ;)
In other news, I went to the Graduation Stomp tonight! And I wasn't really in the mood to dance my soul away, but still. I had a lot of fun, because I hung out with Lucas' cousin, Brian! Who lives in California, a fact that is slightly depressing, as I think he is a pretty chill guy! Even though he invaded my personal space, just a little. ;) But it's not his fault I have a huge personal bubble! haha. And we slow danced and he told me stories and such. He's fun. :)
So yearbook day! Was so dumb, long story! I had to wait in the fine line TWICE! For something stupid that I paid like ten years ago, on the first day of fine paying. Then I finally got my yearbook, and people signed it, since that's what yearbooks are for! But it was interesting who like, sought me out for me to sign their yearbooks. Unexpected, to say the least.
So, I'm thinking of cutting my hair, but I'm really hesitant to even think about it, because the last time I CUT my hair, I cried for like, three days. It's sort of like a safety blanket for me. And I feel naked when I even put it up! If I did cut it, it would be like, really short. Around my chin-ish. I don't think I will actually do it, because I've been growing my hair out for two years, but still. Just a thought. A maybe.
Well, I think I may be done with this post, as it is currently 1:30 in the a.m. I just figured I would blog with all my caffinated... caffeinated... CAFFEINE-INDUCED energy, as I would hate to awaken my parents at this hour. And I don't have to wake up for school anymore! :D yay!
anywho! thanks for reading my jibber jabber! I hope your night is fantastic.
P.S. I almost forgot! I am quite a fan of this band, The Bigger Lights, and their guitarist, John Kendall Royston, just released two solo songs. And they are fabulous. I am thoroughly impressed! He is fantastic.

End of Year! The end is NEAR!
So, I just discovered that I got 86/100 on my math final. Which is really good for me. For math. Since I slightly fail at math. I mean, I don't super suck, but I'm not phenomenal either. So, yay for me! And I totally aced my english final, but no big. haha. I didn't expect it to be hard. At all. Which is just about how it was!
In other news, kinda, I have one more day of school. The end. And really, it's just yearbook day. So, I don't even have to be there for the whole day! It's actually quite exciting. I love love love the end of the year. I'm so unreasonably excited. Since all I do during the summer, really, is sleep and chill around the house. But hopefully this summer might be different. Maybe I'll chill outside. A little. But if I do, I really hope I remember sunscreen! It's not even been sunny and junk that much, I've gotten sunburned TWICE. It's actually quite annoying, but it's my own fault. :) Oh well! Maybe for once I'll go back to school with a tan!
So I'm watching this great movie, called What's Up Doc?, and it's super funny. It's old and surprising how funny it really is. I just love it.
yeah, I really had a lot less to say than I thought. PEACE!

Le Prom among other events.
So, it was requested that I blog about prom by my solitary follower, RUTH! Who I love dearly, and I miss her quite a lot. Now I just have Brett, her brother. Who isn't Ruth, but he's better than nothing ;) (Just Kidding! I love Brett too!)
ANYWAYS! Prom, it was a night filled with wonder and fun times. I would put pictures up at this very second, but I'm strugglin' with electronics tonight. And all weekend, let's be real. My dress was an eggplant-y purple color and it went right about to my knees or just under, I guess. And it wasn't like all flowy and junk, just kinda shapely. And it had a ruffle! on one side of the neckline. So, ya know, it was great! And my hair, which was a struggle to do, was curled and in a side ponytail and all pretty and junk. Then! My date! One of my very best man friends! Clayton. He was wearing your standard tux with a lavender checkery bow tie and vest. Which you wouldn't think worked, but totally did. Kinda. haha. It was dark, so no big! My corsage was ginormous so I kept getting stuck, hitting people with it, etc. I took it off while I was eating my delish Sizzler steak, because I didn't want it to become super dirty and junk. And Clayton's boutonniere had purple orchids! Which I super loved, OH! They also perfectly matched my dress. And the ribbon matched my black sparkly nails. So yeah. Oh! I suppose my day date could be important and useful knowledge! (useful? really?) So, we started out at Trafalga and went mini-golfing there, which was quite fantastic, as I super sucked at it! It was my first time and they made me go first, so obviously I hit the ball suuuuper hard and it went like, three holes away! But I got it back and I didn't have any more accidents of the sort. But, everyone in my group hit their heads on each other at least twice and I got nothin'! So, it was a consolation. Not really? But that's what's coming to my mind at the moment. So, after trafalga, we went to the dinosaur museum at thanksgiving point, which was great, because I looooove dino's! And I was wearing one of my MANY shirts with dinosaurs on it. And we watched them feed a fish who's name I'm forgetting, but it has three letters in it.... Ger? Geb? Something like that. And guess what they fed them?! LIVE GOLDFISH! Which was slightly sad, but it was okay because the one we liked best was the last one to get eaten. It was pretty legit. I think we may have named him elusive? So yeah, then we all went home and got ready and junk. Then we went to Sizzler for dinner, which was totally a joke when I suggested it, but everyone was like, yeah let's go there! Then to le prom!
At the prom, we walked in and stood there for a little, then danced the slow dance, then stood there some more and kinda danced, then just stood there, danced the slow dance, and that's pretty much how most of the night went! haha, we were all super tired, but it was still super fun, in my opinion! And then. The goodnight. SO FUNNY! Lucas wouldn't drive away, so Clayton and I just kinda stood there and were all awkward and then finally we did an awkward hug and Lucas started to drive away. But then! Clayton chased them and almost jumped on the back of Charlotte (Lucas' van) but Lucas sped up and stuff. It was super great! And I was like, that was the fastest he's driven all night! (which is only kind of a joke) And then it was over and I went into my house and stuff. I was pretty beat and I just went to bed. haha.
Then! Two weeks later, so last weekend, it was MORP! I asked Lucas and our group went as 80's. For that day date, we went up the canyon and played Frisbee in the wind/rain (OH! Lucas couldn't come to that, because he sings like an angel and had some state choir festival thing type deal but I still went and had a good time, but I still wish he could have come and such) then after we were all super cold and done with Frisbee, because we all sucked, we went to Amanda's house and played a game then went home and such. Got ready. Ate dinner at Chelsea's house! Then half of the group left to get some stuff they forgot....? And the rest of us just chilled and played spoons, which I didn't lose at! Then we went to the dance and actually danced this time! And we were all super sexy dancers and stuff. And it was a blast and such! Then we chilled in the parking lot after it was over because we were waiting for one of the girls in our group who is on Pack and had to clean up. And we had to then listen to all the dumb lacrosse players be stupid and loud in the parking lot because they think they're cool but really they suck. Then I drove Lucas home and went to bed! haha. So those are summaries of the two dances I went to in the last month!
Last night! I watched Justin Bieber: Never Say Never. And like, I'm not a super crazy fan of bieber, but he's alright. I acquired his music last summer and went through one of those phases where I listened to it for like a week or two, then I stopped and took most of it off my ipod. But I watched that documentary type movie last night and I came to have a certain respect for JB. Sure, he's cute. And I think he has a pretty decent voice. But mylanta! It made me realize how much his life kinda sucks. He doesn't get to be a kid, he has to sometimes not talk for 3-7 days at a time to rest his vocal chords and stuff, be chased by girls who don't even really, like REALLY know him, he's claimed by millions of girls who all want to marry him, etc. How would that be? Crazy. Although, he does get to meet tons of people, travel all over, and give back. Which are basically the only upsides. HA! But yeah, ever since then I've been listening to his music again, sad, but true.
In other news, there are 7 days left of school. Yes, 7. I'm so fetching excited, you don't even know. I used to be like, I love school! Summer sucks! Now I'm like, Dude, school? Super suckssssss, let it be summer already!!! Summer is the highlight of my year, and I'm kinda sad that this is pretty much my last summer to just chill and be insanely lazy for three months straight!
I finally finished my online P.E. class that I've been trying to get done since August of '09! Super great, right? Sad that it took me so long, but great that I finished! I just never did any of the stuff because I always forgot as I didn't have that going every other day reminder. But I'm done! And I bought myself a celebratory Slurpee. It was delicious!
So it was super sunny and a generally great weather day yesterday, right? I went and laid out for a while and got nothing. Then, I went walking with my mom and I got sunburned! And I was wearing a V-Neck! And sunglasses! The sunglasses burn is only kinda there, but my chest is a freak show! And I'm really upset about it, still. But at least I didn't have a part in my hair, so that's a plus. Curse my ghostly white Scottish skin!
So, I believe those are about the biggest things that have happened recently. Besides my car accident... haha. Which is more funny than anything else. I ran into a UTA bus and now don't have a car. That's pretty much the gist of it. No tickets or anything, so it's all good! I prolly could have fixed my car, but it would have cost more than the car is even worth, so we just donated it to kidney kars. So, yay! My sad day of no car-ness will benefit someone who's sick!
That's about it for now, so I think I should maybe do some math homework? Maybe. Prolly not though. :)
Thend. (the+end=thend)

PJS! Woot.
So, in rather epic news, I may just be getting my very own laptop, which just happens to be a macbook. While its a slightly older model and blah blah blah, I'm still hecka excited. And my iTunes would be put on that computer and hallelujah chorus'.
First official day of February and therefore, PJS. Look at how good I'm doing already! I feel pretty accomplished. Even though this hardly counts as journal writing, I'm still writing about my life, right? I'll write in my journal later. Ha! Maybe i'll start a digitalized journal when I have my own computer? ;) We'll see.
I went to the varsity boys bball game tonight, and we won! HOLLA! It was against West Lake and we dominated the entire time. Soooo, we rock. Nuff said. And now I'm just chillaxing to some T. Swift. woot. Who, while sometimes slightly depressing, I still enjoy. Quite a lot. :D
I think I might just keep this post mostly short, since I still have to study for a quiz in government tomorrow... haha! It should be pretty easy, since we can use notes, which I TOTALLY took.
Shazam and Shalom.

Meh.
I recall wanting to blog about something the other day, but I don't remember what the event was? And I couldn't get on to ma blog at that time because I was on the spazzy computer which is now kaput. Dead. Morte. Ended. And I'm slightly freaking out, because my precious iTunes is on that computer. Which has HUNDREDS of dollars worth of awestastic music on it. Soooo, hopefull my dad can get it onto the G drive or what-have-you like he said he might be able to. And therefore making me able to access my iTunes from any computer on our network. Yes, my house has it's own network since we are a very computer savvy type. Weeeellll, sorta. So yeah, computers, while very valuable and knowledge increasing, kinda suck at the moment. (obviously not the one I'm currently using though, right? ;) )
In other news, I found a dress for prom. And guess how much I paid for it?! $16. that's right, $10+$6, the big 16. Heckaaaa! I found it at Dress Barn, which, I know, is an olderly type "lady" store. But it's actually, in some people's words, "a freakin sexy dress" on me. I went into that store with absolutely zero intent of finding anything I liked whatsoever, much less finding a shtealin deal for a prom dress that I absolutely love and cannot wait to wear. All in all, BEST SATURDAY EVER. Nuff said.
In other other news, I got my Young Womanhood Recognition yesterday. Woot woot! A pretty epic happening I hear. I mean, it was pretty awesome for me, but I didn't realize how awesome it was for me for other people. If that makes any sense to someone who has their sanity and normal thinking patterns. :D I mean, all the... we'll say, Mom Ladies, in my ward were coming up to me at the end of sacrament saying congratulations and all that jazz and I was just like... uhhh, thanks? haha. This is awkward, let's stop. And luckily only one of them hugged me, otherwise I would have moved faster and stuff. I don't like unwarranted hugging. Not especially. I mean, from people I know and like? Sure! Hug away! People I barely or don't even know? Not so much, please keep your hands to yourself. Kids, on the flip flop, enh. They're kids! I don't mind 'em. Unless they suckaroo and are the spawn of satan. Then they gotta keep their yucky selves away from me.
It's february! And do you know what that means? PJS! Wahoo! Prayer, Journal, Scriptures. I have to try my very darndest to Pray, write in my journal and read ma sccriptures every single day of february. It's a tradition of the grand ole' Timpanogos Seminary. One which I believe I proudly upheld last year? maybe? in either case, one which I will strive to complete this year, as I sorta suck a little bit lately. In my opinion, that is.
As much as I would love to keep talking... typing to no one about my somewhat lame life, I have a moun'in of homework to do and must attempt to climb my way to the top of it. (moun'in=how people from utah say mountain. Object and think we're just lazy? You try living in a place where everything is named after a freaking mountain. You'll end up dropping the 't' too.)
